RHEINMETALL NIOA MUNITIONS

Rheinmetall NIOA Munitions (RNM) is a joint venture between Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH (RWM) and NIOA. The RNM facility is the most modern munitions forging facility in the world, utilising state-of-the-art technology and advanced manufacturing processes. RNM has constructed and commissioned a greenfield munitions facility to forge and finish large calibre projectile shells for 155mm artillery munitions and metal parts for other munition-related products, such as mortar shell bodies and large calibre naval ammunition.

The RNM facility is the most modern of its type in the world and fitted with best-of-class equipment for munitions forging from across the globe. Our major manufacturing equipment has been selected to produce the most complex 155mm shells, including multi-piece munitions, and includes the below features. 

Our forge, heat treatment and CNC lines are designed and built for 155mm artillery shell forging and capable of processing various steels. The RNM workforce is fully skilled with the current equipment and 155mm shell forging, with our team supporting both the installation and commissioning phases for all new equipment.
